Look beyond the Fear and get back to exploring!
With all the talk of Coronavirus and how it will effect our children going back to school and spending time together indoors, it shows how important an alternative learning platform is. It also highlights what is really important with family and friends, exploration and supporting our community.
At Cascades we offer an accredited UK online learning platform from Interhigh.co.uk and are able to support your children's learning either at home and once all the health concerns have calmed down children can then be supported in a caring, thoughtful environment that is focused on nurturing and building an innovative community of mixed interests, cultures and ages.
We are excited to introduce 3 of our new inspiring partners over the next few blogs that share our same values and ethics who will be offering their classes in addition to our standard programmes(Morning Enrichment, After school Club and Maths & English Tutoring). These have been introduced by popular demand by students and parents alike, which are great value!
Our first new classes we are proud to be offering is:
Martial Arts with Kishore-
Children will explore an inner journey with Kishore's Kids Martial Arts, a certified Yoga & Martial Arts Sensei instructor with versatile experience. His classes are fun, engaging and community driven.
Kishore offers the 2 main types of classes:
Martial arts for kids offer many key benefits
They focus on individual growth, not on team competition.
They work toward specific goals which boosts self-esteem and keeps them motivated.
Routines are broken down into chunks where kids learn gradually, repeating and adding steps as they go and eventually, they put everything together into fluid movements.
They emphasize self-control and concentration. Attention is central to martial arts. Kids have to stay focused to learn and to do the movements.
They help with coordination. Doing martial arts movements can help kids get a better feel for their body in space. It also helps kids understand the power of the mind over the body.
They provide structure. Good martial arts instructors have clear rules and constantly reinforce them. They also emphasize good behavior in and out of class.
They’re a safe way for kids to get out extra energy and practise self control
It’s an accepting environment, where respect is a core value in martial arts. Kids have to show it for their instructor and their peers.
Rather than feeling awkward learning something new, most kids think martial arts are cool. It’s a lot of fun when you’re wearing martial arts gear and breaking boards in half!
If you feel this is the right fit for your child, feel free to contact us so we can sign them up with Kishore to start their martial arts journey of self-
discovery at Cascade Learning.
